- When: New series starts on 13 September
Gogglebox is back, hurrah! Now we can criticise people on television criticising people on TV all over again. All the favourites return, as we get to see a slice of their lives through the shows they watch.
Rocketman
- Where: Amazon Prime Video
- When: Available to buy from 14 September
The biopic of Elton John's early career finally comes to the small screen, with digital versions available to purchase from this week. Directed by actor Dexter Fletcher (Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, GamesMaster) and starring Taron Egerton (Kingsman), it's less formulaic than Bohemian Rhapsody and bristles with super performances throughout.
Rugby World Cup 2019
- Where: ITV (ITV Hub)
- When: Starts on 20 September
The Rugby World Cup 2019 kicks off with a spectacular opening ceremony and match between hosts Japan and Russia. ITV has the rights to live matches this year and will be showing them across ITV, ITV 4 and the ITV Hub.
Savage X Fenty Show
- Where: Amazon Prime Video
- When: Available from 20 September
The much-talked-about catwalk event for Rihanna's lingerie line took place during New York Fashion Week and exclusive broadcast rights were snapped up by Amazon. Lavishly put together by the pop star and Savage X Fenty, the entire show will be available to stream exclusively through Amazon Prime Video - as will a behind-the-scenes making-of special.
Strictly The Best
- Where: BBC One (BBC iPlayer)
- When: Broadcast on 15 September
Some of Strictly Come Dancing's past contestants and winners return to the dance floor for a special episode to whet the appetite for the rest of the new series. Abbey Clancy, Kimberley Walsh and Caroline Flack are among those to again strut their stuff in the one-off.

Aladdin
- Where: Rakuten TV
- When: Available to buy from 16 September
Disney continues its policy of remaking all of its classic animations as live action movies with a retelling of Aladdin, complete with the great songs and soundtracks that made the original so enjoyable. Will Smith takes on the role of the Genie this time, with Mena Massoud paying the eponymous lamp-finder, and Guy Ritchie handling direction duties.
