Strictly Come Dancing: The Launch
- Where: BBC One (BBC iPlayer)
- When: 7 September
Strictly is back and the new series kicks off with a launch episode to introduce the new dancers - both celebrities and professionals - that will feature this year. There is also a new judge in the shape of Motsi Mabuse, sister of one of the pro dancers, Oti.
John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum
- Where: Rakuten TV
- When: Available now
The final part of the John Wick trilogy is finally available to watch on the small screen. A cult hit, the Keanu Reeves-starring movie franchise has put many bigger budget action flicks to shame, with its superb visuals and tightly choreographed sequences. Superb.
Undone
- Where: Amazon Prime Video
- When: Starts on 13 September
Alita: Battle Angel's Rosa Salazar stars in the first episodic TV series to use rotoscope animation. Drawings and paintings are created over the top of live action to create a distinctive visual art style, similar to that used in the movie A Scanner Darkly. Indeed, much of the same team worked on Undone too.
First Dates Hotel
- Where: Channel 4 (All 4)
- When: Continues on 12 September
Fred and the hotel staff are back. A new swathe of couples looking for love check into the beautiful Italian building and we get to see if they hit it off or crash and burn.
Supermarket Sweep
- Where: ITV (ITV Player)
- When: Starts 9 September
Anyone of a certain age will remember the original Dale Winton-hosted Supermarket Sweep. Although, sadly, it was taken from our screens more than a decade ago. Now it's back and, with Winton no longer with us, Rylan Clark-Neal takes the reins on the gameshow that makes Lidl look like Harrods.
And one for the kids...
Pokémon Detective Pikachu
- Where: Amazon Video
- When: Available to buy now
Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool) is superb as Pikachu in this wonderful live action Pokémon movie. Full of great jokes, witty banter and a mighty cast of pocket monsters, Detective Pikachu was one of the biggest success stories earlier this year. Now you can settle down with the kids to check it out yourself.
A netgem.tv set-top-box is available from £49. Click here to find out more.
